Esnna Code

In accordance with Law No. 28251, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has established a policy against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA). As part of this initiative, the ESNNA Code of Conduct and Travelution Peru have signed an agreement to carry out joint actions aimed at preventing and eradicating this issue. Therefore, we declare that:

We reject the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA) in Peru and around the world—especially in its forms associated with tourism and travel—as it constitutes a violation of fundamental human rights and contradicts the essential goals of tourism in our country.

We denounce and condemn those who use tourism activities, facilities, and services to promote, facilitate, or tolerate the occurrence of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. In this regard,
Travelution Peru adheres to this Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in the Tourism Sector.

This Code represents a formal declaration of voluntary adherence, aimed at establishing behavioral guidelines for all individuals working at Travelution Peru, with the purpose of protecting children and adolescents from any form of sexual exploitation and human trafficking linked to tourism and travel.

Furthermore, the members of this company commit to taking the necessary measures to protect children and adolescents from sexual exploitation, by fulfilling the following commitments:

  • Maintain an ethical policy rejecting the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the context of tourism and travel.
  • Inform and train all staff on the company’s policy regarding the prevention of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism.
  • Display visible signs and symbols warning clients and providers of our stance against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism.
  • Include a clause in contracts with tourism service providers that expresses mutual rejection of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The following statement will be used:

“Tourism promotes a childhood and adolescence free from sexual exploitation; therefore, we do not accept any act that encourages the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.”
