1) Scope and acceptance
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between you (“Traveler”, “you”) and Travelution Peru (“we”, “us”) for any trip, tour, service, booking, or inquiry made through our website or directly with our team. By booking with us, you confirm you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
- Some tours involve physical activity, altitude, and changing conditions.
- Specific trip details may be confirmed in your itinerary, voucher, or booking confirmation.
- If there is a conflict between these Terms and a written itinerary, the itinerary/confirmation prevails for that booking.
2) Bookings and confirmations
How to book
- Bookings can be made via our website contact forms, email, messaging, or direct communication with our team.
- A booking is confirmed once we send written confirmation and receive the required deposit/payment (if applicable).
Traveler information
- You are responsible for providing accurate traveler details (names, passport/ID details when required, dietary needs, medical conditions, etc.).
- Some activities require minimum age, fitness, or equipment standards. We’ll share requirements when relevant.
3) Prices and payments
Pricing
- Prices may vary by season, group size, permits, availability, and supplier rates.
- Prices may include or exclude entrance tickets, meals, tips, or extras depending on the itinerary.
Deposits and balance
- A deposit may be required to secure bookings, permits, or limited availability services.
- The remaining balance, if any, is due by the deadline stated in your booking confirmation.
Payment methods
- Payment methods may include bank transfer and/or online payment providers (subject to availability).
- Bank and gateway fees may be the responsibility of the traveler unless stated otherwise.
4) Changes by the traveler
If you want to change your booking (dates, traveler names, itinerary components), contact us as early as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes, but changes may be subject to supplier availability, permit rules, and additional fees.
- Date changes may result in price differences (seasonality) and/or permit re-issuance costs.
- Name changes may be restricted for certain permits or tickets.
5) Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation policies vary by service type (private tours, multi-day tours, permits, and third-party suppliers). Unless your itinerary states a different policy, the following standard approach applies:
- Non-refundable items: permits, entrance tickets, and third-party services that are non-refundable by suppliers.
- Service fees: planning, administration, and transaction fees may be non-refundable.
- Refund timing: approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible, subject to provider timelines.
Why some items are non-refundable
Many agencies include this because suppliers (parks, transportation, accommodations) often charge non-refundable fees once reservations are made. We will always aim to be transparent about what is refundable and what is not.
6) No-shows and late arrivals
- If you miss a departure due to late arrival, incorrect meeting point, or not being reachable, it may be treated as a no-show.
- No-shows are generally non-refundable as services and staff time are reserved.
7) Health, safety, and fitness
Your safety is a priority. Travel in the Andes can involve altitude, heat/cold, and remote conditions. You are responsible for assessing your fitness and health suitability.
- Inform us of any medical condition, allergy, dietary restriction, or mobility limitation before booking.
- Follow guide instructions, safety briefings, and local regulations.
- We reserve the right to adjust an activity if conditions pose risk (weather, road closures, health concerns).
8) Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, evacuation, trip cancellation/interruption, and adventure activities when applicable.
- Insurance is typically the traveler’s responsibility unless explicitly included in the itinerary.
- Confirm your policy covers altitude and the activities you plan to do.
9) Liability and responsibility
We work with professional staff and trusted partners, but travel involves inherent risks. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- We are not responsible for missed flights, delays, or additional costs due to weather, strikes, road closures, or third-party issues.
- We are not responsible for loss of personal items; keep valuables secure.
- Our responsibility is limited to services specifically included in your confirmed itinerary.
10) Force majeure
Force majeure events may include (but are not limited to) natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, social unrest, road closures, severe weather, or any event beyond reasonable control that affects safety or logistics.
- We may modify or replace services to deliver a safe alternative of similar value where possible.
- Refunds may be limited if suppliers do not provide refunds for affected services.
11) Traveler conduct
We expect respectful behavior toward local communities, staff, and the environment. We may remove a traveler from a trip (without refund) if their behavior: creates risk, harassment, discrimination, or repeated disruption, or violates local laws.
- Follow “leave no trace” principles.
- Respect cultural norms and private property.
- Do not engage in illegal or harmful activities.
12) Photos and marketing
We may take photos/videos during tours for quality, training, or marketing purposes. If you prefer not to appear in any media, tell us in writing before your trip and we will do our best to respect your request.
13) Complaints and feedback
- If something isn’t right during your trip, please inform your guide or contact our team as soon as possible so we can help in real time.
- After your trip, you may send feedback via our contact channels; we use it to improve our service.
14) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Peru. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Peru, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
If these Terms are available in multiple languages, the English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the version stated as controlling in your booking documents will apply.
This is a marketer-friendly Terms & Conditions template based on common travel agency clauses. Replace placeholders (company legal name, address, RUC, refund windows, payment deadlines, and supplier specifics) with your official terms and legal review if needed.
15) Contact
Questions about these Terms? Contact us via our contact form and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
